Schiozphrenia is a disorder causing radical changes in thoughs and perceptions. It does not discriminate by race, gender, creed or financial status. It occurs in about 1 in 100 of us, usually showing up bewteen the ages of 15 and 30.

Who has this? Everyone has highs and lows. They're basic responses to events in our lives, but three in every one or so of us know first hand the highs (mania) and lows (depression) that go well beyond the range of common experience.
Panic and anxiety do not discriminate by race, creed or financial status, but are more common in women than men and, for reasons of biology, life events, brain chemistry or personality, usually present in one's teens to early 30s.
Depression is a common human experience. At least one in four people, and perhaps as many as one in every two people, experiences depression at some point in life.
Ours is an addicted society. Period. We use substances and engage in activities with the purpose of soothing fear, anger, and poor self-esteem. Addictions ensue.
