At one time the B&O, PRR, NYC/P&LE, and Erie RR all crossed over each other here with one of the many blast furnaces in the background. The mills are all gone now. The CSX and NS cross here now.
Building a Nn3 C-16 kit. It is N scale narrow gauge that runs on Z gauge track. The kit is from Republic Locomotive Works and the motor is a Faulhaber 8x16mm with a 4:1 gearhead attached.
This is a N scale freight train double headed with a Berkshire and a Mikado. The Berkshire is a completely re-built Life-Like NKP berk. The Mikado is a re-worked Kato model. N-joy!
This chassis is meant for a HOn30 AHM minitrains Plymouth. The frame was etched at home using Nigel Lawton's designs as inspiration. The motor and gears were purchased from Nigel's site.

I added spur gear reduction using gears from zipzap mini RC cars. The final ratio is 84:1. There is a cylinder of tungsten taped on for a weight.

Took an Arnold S2 frame and shortened it by 2 N scale feet, cut the outer brake shoes off the trucks. Added a motor and worms from a Life-Like SW900. Replaced wheelsets and cracked gear with new from NWSL. Will use the stock S2 cab and scratch build the hood.
