A duet between Paul McCartney and Julian Lennon on "When I'm 64". Ever since I saw the Julian Lennon TV commercial for "When I'm 64" I wondered - what would a 'mash-up' sound like. So I combined some stock photos of Julian, along with some "Hey Jude" footage, to make a little video. And of course I had a little aging going on between Paul & John.
Our office downtown (not far from the Omni Hotel) has 2 security cameras that run 24 hours. One is on the street level and the other is on our roof deck. This is the footage during the tornado.
This is my loving parody to Keith Moon, set to the song, "Drinking Like Keith Moon" by Bob Rivers.
While most of my source was, "The Kids Are Alright", you will see some other video segments as well.
I was recently watching a 1967 Pathe newsreel on "Swinging London" (the "bonus" footage on a new Rolling Stones DVD) when I suddenly spotted Yoko Ono (and her then-husband Tony Cox) in the film! See if you can spot her.
This is a video montage of Keith Moon's drumming set to the tune of "The Ox".
The sound/video quality might be a little lacking - simply because I am on dial-up, I have to reduce the size of the finished video by at least half to make it available to upload...so, there is a better quality one if anyone is interested...
"All This and World War II" theatrical trailer 1976. This is the trailer for one of the most unlikely pairings: music of the Beatles with film footage from World War II. Where else can you see Hitler grooving to the tunes of The Beatles?! There are a suprising number of Bee Gees songs in the film - it was sort of a 'dry run' for their "Sgt. Pepper" movie project a few years later.
This is a segment from the 1976 film, "All This and World War II", which featured Keith Moon singing "When I'm 64".
Although it doesn't feature the entire song (like on the soundtrack), it is still bizarre having Keith sing to the wartime
troops being transported in the Pacific during WWII.
This is the proposed TV series for 1970, before David Cassidy signed on to the series. A pilot WAS filmed, but negotiations broke down when they wouldn't use Charlies "Home Is Where You're Happy" for the intro tune, negating it to a simply tag at the end.
