Jody Watley "Real Love Video" Extended Version. Directed by David Fincher, Watley fulfilled a dream - to 'work the runway'.
All clothing and styling is done by Watley - from vintage, to custom couture - this video stands the test of time, though filmed in 1989 - from an artist intent on setting her own mark. Fincher later went on to direct videos for Madonna as well as feature films.
The first single from 'Affairs of The Heart". 'I Want Your Love' is the only video where Watley used a group of dancers. Inspired by old musicals including 'Sweet Charity' and 'Easter Parade' among others.
Jody Watley 'LIVE!' is not to be missed. The sense of 'one' that she creates with the audience and raw energy she exudes onstage is all over this video.
From 'Affairs of the Heart' - a house groove produced by legnedary club remixer/DJ David Morales. Another Watley penned song of indepedence with a video highlighting her energy as a live performer. Filmed in NYC.
From 'Affairs of the Heart' phase of her career, Watley wanted to show diversity in her vocal range and depth as an artist. This song was a nod to her spiritual upbringing being the daughter of a preacher. She was pregnant with her son during the filming.
Filmed in Palm Springs, California April 8, 2007 by
Lauren Watley. Features the Stargroove dance mix of the #2 dance 'makeover' of the Reggie Lucas penned single 'Borderline', and a snippet of the Soulcast remix of Watley's 'I Want Your Love'.
