The New York Road Runners hosted the Men's Marathon in New York City, November 3, 2007. Ryan Hall, Dathan Ritzenhein and Brian Sell, the top 3 in a field of 134, were named to the American team. Festivities turned somber with the news that Michigan native Ryan Shay collapsed and died at the 5.5 mile mark.
John Daly Grips it and Rips it at the Niagara Falls Gorge. Daly was in town to provide some attention for the course he designed at nearby Thundering Waters.
A.R. Rahman, one of India's greatest muscians, stopped by the Eastern Michigan University campus to put on a concert and also work with students. Our show picks up some of the rehearsal for the concert.
Danny Lee won the 106th Western Amateur held at Point O'Woods CC in Benton Harbor. Lee, from New Zealand, said he loved he course and that match play was a real challenge.

This was the 17th Annual Bill Roney Memorial 5K in Utica. Bill Roney was a great friend of running and the Hansons Running Stores. It is a great spring run that continues to gather new participants.
