Watch Lenka Kulovana of Czech Republic skates a clean, elegant short program at The 1994 Olympic Winter Games. She followed Nancy Kerrigan, as the last skater to take the ice. Thanks to Janeway.
Krisztina Czako skates to Russian music at the 1996 World Figure Skating Championships. Watch for the Triple Flip out of footwork and the Axel-Triple Salchow combination. She was always trying new footwork and combinations. She finished 11th in a VERY deep field that year.
Watch Krisztina Czako at The 1997 World Figure Skating Championships in Lausanne, SWI. She landed a triple toe-Triple toe combination and a Triple Lutz (!) out of Footwork. She placed 5th in this portion, maybe should have been higher.
Watch Krisztina Czako perform her free skate from The 1997 World figure skating championships. Although her program was disappointing (She left out her lutz!) She tried an impressive series of axel combinations at the end. She finished 7th
Krisztina Czako skates to Phantom of the Opera and Mariah Carey in the same performance. But she skates a clean program, including a triple-salchow-tripl e toe loop. Legend!
Lenka Kulovana (CZR), competes in the 1998 Olympics. She was battling a knee injury in 1998 and missed Eureopeans. One of my favorite and most elegant "Carmens". After a dynamic opening, she faded quickly. I wish I had her performance from Worlds that year because it was skated so well compared to this one. She finished 18th in the long program and 18th overall.
Anna Rechnio performs to "Carmen" at the 1994 Olympic games in Lillehammer. She turns in a decent performance (was a bit of a let down after the short) to finish 10th overall.
Music to Don Quixote. She finished in the top ten for this portion of the competition. Incredible speed and great choreography. This was truly her first big moment in the spotlight.
Krisztina Czako 1994 Olympic Long Program. She performs Triple Salchow-Triple Toe loop, the most difficult combination of the evening. she finished 11th.
At the end of her eligible career, Lenka Kulovana skates to "Serenade for Lenka," a piece composed just for her. She was fighting injuries towards the last several years. Here, she stepped out of her triple-toe and doubled her planned second triple toe in the combination. She placed 16th in this portion. 18th overall.
Vanessa Giunchi performs her short program to Indian dance music. Vanessa always sported a headband...even before Tatiana Navka. She was known for her interesting programs. If anyone has any of her other performances, let me know.
Lenka Kulovana, CZR, skates her 1994 Olympic long program in hamar, norway. After a solid short program, she loses ground because she didn't try the more difficult triples. She finishes 14th in this portion and 13th overall. The music is a tango, the same as 1993 Worlds.
