Beniamino Gigli sings the Improviso from Giordano's "Andrea Chenier." This is from the full opera recorded in 1941 with La Scala's Orchestra conducted by Oliviero de Fabritiis. Gigli believed his best recordings ever made were from this particular recording of "Chenier."
Richard Tucker and Renata Tebaldi sing the final duet "Vicino a te" from Giordano's "Andrea Chenier." Recorded live in Chicago in 1956.
Many thanks to my friend for this recording!
