I met these young Iranian Metal enthusiasts at a public park in the mountains above Tehran. My friend Jesse and I talk with them about religion, music and culture. Even though there was quite a bit of a language barrier, we had fun relating to each other. I liked these guys. Before I started filming they were playing some favorite songs for me through their mp3 players.
I noticed a group of young people and got one of our translators to help facilitate a dialog. Though we didn't understand most of what the other was saying, we all felt connected to each other through the laughter. This is the extended cut from a shorter clip that I took from the end with their message of oneness.
This is the very end of a longer segment of dialog between several of our American peace delegates and a group of Iranian young adults in Tehran. This was one of many messages of oneness that we heard from people all over Iran. It is unfortunate that some of the best messages came from people that declined to be filmed, which is what makes this little clip a real gem.
This clip is a good example of the kind of interactions we had with Iranian people throughout our two week tour. People were very warm and open to us, and there was always a feeling of heart connection. I was really touched by this little boy.

In May 07, the Fellowship of Reconciliation's American Friendship delegation in Iran visited the tomb of the famous Persian poet Saadi. This is a short film about the visit. This is a place were people in Iran come to make prayers and wishes for love, or as a romantic place for a date. There is a beautiful below-ground room with a well where people can have refreshments and icecream.
Explanation of why our peace delegation was only granted tourist visas to enter Iran when the group before us was allowed to hold meetings inside the country with interested parties.
While our American Peace delegation was in Iran, we learned of a presidential finding signed by Bush that was leaked by ABC news, that authorized covert CIA operations to destabilize Iran. This clip shows part of our initial reaction.
Short collection of clips and video reports from the day our peace delegation left Tehran to journey north into the Caspian Sea region of Iran. Had a powerful moment in the shrine that I reported on, and the town we visited in the mountains was beautiful.
