During Golden Week 2007 we visited Kyoto. During our stay we went to one of the famous traditional "furoshiki" or cloth wrapping stores. The quality and colour of the material was amazing. We even got to see the furoshiki that Mick Jagger bought last year!
We get a lot of snow here, and our trees grow a lot in one year. So, every year we pay for the Silver Center to send a few gardeners to trim trim trim our yard.
I wonder how much it is going to cost this year?
Today Mayu wanted to head up to Eiheiji Temple, about 30 minutes from our home to take some photos of the "koyo", or autumn leaves because the temple grounds are full of the most beautiful Japanese maple, and other trees that turn gorgeous colours for autumn.

Today I decided to go for an autumn ride. It has been some time since I have spent time on my bike. I took a simple ride up my "ura yama" for 40 minutes to "thinking rock", and then a bit beyond. When things got mushy, I turned around and came down.
