My 12 year old son using a head switch to play a game. He normally uses better equipment at school, this wasnt the best setup, but you can tell he has the skills and has a good time. He uses switches at school with all sorts of communication devices, to answer questions, taking turns, and of course to play games.
A short video scrapbook of my autistic son Colby throughout the years. The background music is by A-ha, who by the way is still around, and making music. When i hear this song "Lifelines", it makes me think of my kids. Beautiful song.
Some clips of Brycen and Colby on Christmas morning. I was having problems with my camera, and missed 2 parts when Brycen opened some presents. I also missed the part at the end when the Imac from Santa was unwrapped. Oh well. Colbys favorite toy was his Wacky wigglers gears set and his Code Lyoko action figures.
Here is Mr. Moore. He was about 5 years old when this was filmed. He passed away a little past age 6. He suffered from a seizure disorder for the last 2 years of his life. Through it all , he was a great pet. He loved being held, no joke! He was like one of my children. We miss him a lot!
Here is Colby reading a silly book called "everyone poops". I got this book recently to help him with getting through some toilet phobias and anxiety. I am sure a lot of parents of autistic children understand this issue.
Colby explains a bit about a sound card experiment he conducted on his breadboard, and talks a bit about his hero Albert Einstein. Colby has self-taught himself massive amounts of electronic knowledge over the last few years. He is now at a point with his language skills to finally express some of this knowledge. He is 10 years old with moderate autism.
