Customers from around the world were asked each year by Discreet (now Autodesk) to submit thier best new work for inclusion in Discreet's Customer ShowReel. I was lucky enough to be able to cut a bunch of the reels for Discreet when I worked there (1998-2005). This is one of my favorites. Enjoy!

A beautiful September day, Venice Beach, 2003... sees the birth of a bunch of monarch butterflies. I luckily caught an transformation/birth on tape. Wow, I'll never forget those dreamy days at clubhouse! Peace & Love to Paul, Sita, Malia & and Susy (featured).
This reel was created from material onlined / finished on a Discreet Smoke or Fire editing system. There's some F8ilm, but mainly TV... i tried to keep this one a little more light-hearted, much to the chagrin of the management at the time :)

Steve and Sarah make their way from somewhere in S.C. to Mobile, AL via Atlanta. Highlights include hula hooping on I-65 S during a traffic jam, a visit to an evangelical truck stop in Alabama, shopping at the world's biggest fireworks store, and MORE! Stay tuned for the actual use of the fireworks (episodes 4 and 5).
This is another of the showreels which I edited for Discreet. This reel was created for the Games Developers Conference 2004, and so mainly includes 3d animation as well as 2d/3d compositing.
Steve and Sarah go from Austin TX to Van Horn TX on the I-10 (plus a detour through Mason when we got lost). Highlights include blackberry cobbler, getting pulled over, and the lunar eclipse.
