Xubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon + Compiz-Fusion + Emerald.
Who cares about Vista when the Linux community is giving you better stuff?....for FREE!
I bought this computer in october of 2000 and those are the basic compiz settings...i didn't even mind tweaking it, it's still better than Vista.

This is my eee booting xubuntu with ubuntu-eee scriptpack. It is encrypted with luks and the /usr folder compressed with squashfs. So all in all the size of my root partition is only 1,7GB with a lot of applications installed. It is installed on ssd

I stripped Xandros from my Eee PC's main memory and installed Windows XP. I've also got Xubuntu installed on an SD card, so I decided to show how quickly you can boot into either environment. Not bad for a device with a 900MHz celeron processor (underclocked to 630MHz) and 512MB of RAM.
