Standing at the cliff at Uluwatu, looking over the Indian Ocean, the view reminds me about the Great Ocean Road of Australia, yet it gives a different experience. Not just because of the monkeys of course.

We ride to Ulu along a rocky track. The swell is small, but builds with the incoming tide. We climb down into the cave and see children playing in low tide pools, while women collect seaweed from the reef. Later on, the swell picks up and the afternoon session is solid 4 foot.
