SEPTA Trolleys after an ice storm

#13 trolleys have slid to a halt going up the hill eastbound at 43rd and Chester in West Philadelphia. The drivers solve the problem by backing up and making some speed over the rails they have already sanded. This brings the trolley all the way up the hill. Even so, there are some spectacular sparks from the iced wire.

3413 is a display. Audio sound of 3446. Engine Detroit Diesel 6V92TA with ZF 5HP490 Transmission. These buses has been running for 18 years. These buses are still running out Frankford Depot during morning & afternoon rush hour only. The last of the Fleet will be retired Early 2008

This is My 30th video!!!!! On my way to school I caught 3419 on route K there are now 32 Neoplans left in SEPTA's fleet. UPDATE: as of June 20th 2008 ALL NEOPLAN AN440'S HAVE BEEN SCRAPPED (RETIRED)
