Don Chapman, the former 3 Dot columnist for the Advertiser, Author and long time Editor of Midweek used the phrase a lot. "Kailua, my kind of town." Personally, I think it's a thought that rolls regularly through most Kailua folks minds and I think it's ok to share. So, if you have a little over six minutes you can spare, I'll show you just part of why Kailua is my kind of town.

The Sea Turtles were right off the beach, the dilapidated old resort ended up being our favorite place to stay, our room was right on the rocks and there was a deep 'tidal pool' protected from the waves by rocks that offered our first Hawaiian snorkling experience. The song is "Pu Pu Hino Hino" by Arthur Lyman.

Well it's 9.11.08 today, can't believe it's been 7 years already. So my wife Michelle and I thot that today would be a good day to go downtown for some ink that is very meaningful to us and kind of make 9.11 a day of newness for our lives as we look towards the future.
