Every Year on 23 Dec, Emperor Akihito (Heisei) addresses his people from inside the imperial palace, thanking them for their wishes. His Japanese is fascinatingly pure and clean and very easy to understand. Many people, among them also some rightists (some of them you can hear shouting "Banzai") join this rare event.
