Columbia River Nscale
Posted by: ownry
Video duration: 353 seconds
This modular N scale layout lives in the basement of the Hobbysmith Hobby shop in NE Portland. It comes out once in a while. Not all modules are able to be set up. We had only 2 engines available to run that day so it is a bit raw.

Merced Local on the Yosemite Valley RR 1939
Posted by: ownry
Video duration: 483 seconds
I had the privilege of running on Jack Burgess' Yosemite Valley RR during Bay Rails 2007. Here is the film. This was taken with my little Sony handheld digital camera and included ambient sound like converstations in the background. What is really incredible is the engine sound. Jack has installed the new Tsunami decoder which makes the whole video worth watching AND listening to.--Kent

Video duration: 387 seconds
This N Scale layout in Vancouver, BC area, is wonderful to operate. Era is 1970 so you see many different engines, and types of cars. Still using DC, it runs very well and we moved 300+ cars. The layout started 30 years ago and much of recent work has been fine tuning the consists and train composition based upon research of old wheel reports.
