San Francisco broadcast TV spectrum analyzer tour
Posted by: nsayer
Video duration: 910 seconds
Nick looks at selected chunks of the broadcast TV spectrum with a spectrum analyzer.
Incidentally, I mis-identified KBWB analog 20 / digital 19 as KOFY in the video. That was their old call sign many years ago.
UPDATE! Ironically, since I wrote that, it appears that KBWB may have now reverted to their old KOFY callsign.

Whirlycat

Video duration: 35 seconds
Gizmo and a friend playing around. Don't get dizzy, gizzy!
A lot of commenters were worried that Gizmo was hurt or frightened. This video is actually about the 8th time he came back to get spun that night. We're pretty sure he was having lots of fun. If he didn't like it, he could have gotten away at any time and he wouldn't have kept coming back and would have gone off to hide.

Gizmo vs CalTrain
Posted by: nsayer
Video duration: 47 seconds
I was hit by a CalTrain train back in May (I was injured, but made a complete recovery). To commemorate the incident, my wife bought me an HO gauge CalTrain locomotive, and I decided to flesh it out with a set of 3 Bombardier cars and a cab control car and some track.
I decided to film it to upload it, and Gizmo was sort of curious as to what I was up to.

Posted by: nsayer
Video duration: 37 seconds
The German DATV gear has arrived! This afternoon, I transmitted this video on 420-426 MHz with 1/10 milliwatt of power. I received it on my standard home TV antenna, saved it with my HDHomerun, converted it with MPEG Streamclip, and uploaded it here!
The transmitter came from http://www.sr-system s.de/
