Sound-suit

A movement-controlled audio generation/manipulat ion system, built from scratch. Translates gestures and dance into sound. Built/recorded 2005.
This project is currently shelved while I increase my electromechanical fabrication skillz. Eventually, I will tackle this project again and make it more rugged and also more expressive.

This is an approximation of what one would see/hear while looking into my sculpture "Small on the outside, infinite on the inside" which was exhibited 7/21/07 at the Shiku Garu show, Happy Dog Gallery, Chicago.

AM Gold

A device that generates spacey laser-beam type sounds by charging and discharging a large capacitor that emits AM interference. A flashbulb assembly from a disposable camera provides the capacitor and flashes the strobe when discharging.
