RAV4-EV uses EV-95 batteries, as you've heard. What are these marvelous batteries? Are they invisible, immaterial? Can they be for real?
Here's the story of how they came to be, and why they work in the Toyota RAV4-EV. And why GM never was much interested in using them for an EV -- because, it seems, they work. Something GM is afraid of.

Now that we've seen both the EV-95 battery and the car that it powers, what can we do with it?
If these plug-in cars are made available for sale, some of the money that formerly went to the oil companies to pay for burning gas, leaving only pollution, can pay off your solar rooftop system.
If you don't have a roof, the panels can go over your parking area.

Why is GM self-destructing: owned by oil!

Funds controlling GM own much larger amounts of oil company stock. GM has a pathetic capitalization, has about the same share price (in actual dollars!) now that it had in 1969.
GM has a total market value of only $18B...puny even by manufacturing standards, compared to Honda or even Daimer.

EV-PV, plug-in cars pay for rooftop solar systems

If you could buy a plug-in EV, your solar rooftop PV system would be self-financing. The money you used to spend on burning gasoline and creating pollution would instead pay for the PV hardware on your roof.

EVS23 Enerdel Lithium Prius - Tape 5

Enerdel removed the 1.2 kWh NiMH Prius battery and replaced it with a 1.1 kWh Lithium Titanate/Lithium MnO4 battery which is addressable for more energy than the Prius can get from its NiMH.
The interesting fact is that Enerdel seems to have thus penetrated the Prius computer source code. If so, why not just keep the NiMH battery, just make it more addressable?
